I’m on a roll today and I’m gonna keep it going until I crash early tonight! In this post, we will be taking a look at what the The Polish Palette has to offer in their latest release. This time, there’s a nice twist where fans are invited to guess which maker made which polish. Don’t worry, I will catch you up if you’re unfamiliar with this fun box! And away we go…
Polish Palette – Mystery Beach Box
The Polish Palette is a quarterly, four-piece polish box put together by Rogue Lacquer and Tonic Polish. What makes this box different is that Rachel and Lindsey draw inspiration from color palettes, hence the name! They create two polishes each to go along with the palette.
For this box, Rachel and Lindsey choses an arial shot beach that actually resembles a vertical color swatch palette. What is different this time around is that the maker of the four polishes will be a mystery! Cue dramatic chimp pianist! And there you have the reveal behind them penning this box, Mystery Beach!
Just so you know, you will see in my swatches that all the polishes are housed in round bottles. Trip you up as you play the guessing game. When you receive your orders, they will be sent in brand specific bottles and labeling.
Here, we have 150 Degrees! 150 Degrees has a warm taupe base and a glowing red shimmer with shifts of gold and green. I really enjoy the warmth of this shade. It has a pleasant creamy application with the glow of the shimmers always making themselves evident. It’s perfect for the upcoming Fall months. I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
Barnacles is a matte flakie topper which features a mix of iridescent green and orange flakes in a slightly cloudy base. I decided to wear it on its own over a creamy-toned ridge filling base coat. I love how these flakies show here! The polish is easy to work with and I can see it playing well over multiple bases. I’m wearing three thin coats.
Here is Fintastic! Although described as a bright green teal, it to me, it’s a green linear holographic with a smattering of holographic micro shards. It’s a really pretty green with an easy wearing quality. I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
Resting Beach Face
Finally, we have Resting Beach Face. This is the crelly flakie polish of the set. Resting Beach Face is a delicate, sandy blush crelly base with scatter holographic, extra large blue to green ultra chameleon flakes and color shifting rainbow flakes. It’s such a beautiful look and the ease of wear is an added plus. I’m wearing three coats with a glossy topcoat.
