I woke up today with quite a bit of pep! Jotted a few things down in my planner, situated my kids, did the day thing and now, I’m settling in for some long overdue time with this sweet blog of mine.
This post features a slew of photos from Lexi’s latest At Sea Collection. This is an (almost) annual summer collection with an oceanic or beachy theme. Also attached to this are two fun toppers. Yup! This is a hefty one, so settle in with me and let’s look at the Painted Polish by Lexi At Sea Volume IV Collection (and friends)!
Painted Polish – At Sea Volume IV
Mermaid Masquerade has a teal crelly base with an array of colorful shifty flakes within. It applies smoothly with well behaved flakes, all drying down to a nice glossy finish. I’m wearing three coats with a glossy topcoat.
Keeping It Krill
Here, we have Keeping It Krill. This polish has a mix of flakes shifting in colors of fuchsia, copper, and gold in a bright azure blue crelly base. It has a similar easy application and glossy dry down like Mermaid Masquerade. Again, I’m wearing three coats with a glossy topcoat.
Your Seashells Are Showing
Your Seashells Are Showing has an alabaster nude crelly base to which pink, copper, and green color-shifting flakes are added in. This nude beauty has the same gorgeous application and is a favorite of mine! I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
Some Mermaid nail art featuring the beachy blues over Beachy Keen. The mermaid image is from the Lina Born To Sail 02 stamping plate.
Seaside Soiree has a teal base similar to Mermaid Masquerade but appears lighter due to the mix of nude holographic micro glitters within. There is a slight texture left behind after drying but this is smoothed with a good topcoat. I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
Yacht To Be Cruisin’
Next up is Yacht To Be Cruisin’! Gotta love a punny name! The base here is the bright azure blue that we loved in Keepin’ It Krill, with the same nude micro glitter mix found in its sister shade, Sister Soiree. In both, the holographic micro glitters and a fun shift of color that does not outdo the base. Again, I was left with some texture after it dried. I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
I know the blues might take center stage in this collection, but I’ve fallen in love with the nudes! This one is Beachy Keen, an alabaster crelly base with that nude holographic micro glitter mix. It dries with the same texture as the other two micro glitter crellies and smooths down just as easy. I’m wearing two coats with a glossy topcoat.
Stamped in Scales
Hooray for new stamping polishes! There are three of those and as you may have guessed, they match the bases for the crellies we have met so far.
Stamped in Scales is a medium teal creme that also doubles as a stamping polish. It applies nicely, with a medium fluidity and a satiny finish. I’m wearing one coat with a glossy topcoat.
Something obscurely wavy, featuring an image from the Lina Make Your Mark 08 plate.
Stamped in Saltwater
Stamped in Saltwater is an azure blue creme polish that can easily be used as a stamping polish. It dries to a satin finish. I’m wearing one coat with a glossy topcoat.
Maybe these can be boats! This image is from the Uber Chic plate 23-03.
Stamped in Sand
The final stamping polish in this collection is Stamped in Sand, an alabaster creme. This one was slightly thicker than the other two but self-leveled and also dried to a soft, satin finish. I’m wearing one coat with a glossy topcoat.
This was my favorite look for this collection which I wore for quite a few days. The image is from the Lina Born to Sail 02 plate.
These are not part of the At Sea Collection, but an offshoot duo partying together.
Gilded is a gold flakie topper that will add a that gilded touch to your mani. I’m wearing one coat here over a Black and Stamped in Saltwater, with no additional topcoat.
Diamond Dust is a clear-based topcoat featuring diamond micro glitters. This can be worn as a topper as I have, or in several coats for a fuller, holographic look. Here, I’m wearing one coat over Black and Stamped in Scales without topcoat.
